Difficulty Levels
- Rookie. Expected mileage is 6-8 miles per week. The adventure lengths are about 60-100 miles in length so you should complete these adventures in about 10 weeks. The distance between Mile Posts (points of interest) will be about 10-15 miles apart.
- Seasoned. These adventures are planned for those walking 10-15 miles per week. The adventure length is between 100 and 250 miles and takes about 2-4 months to complete. The distance between mile posts is about 15 to 20 miles on the average.
- Expert. This level is for serious hikers with high fitness goals. Expected mileage is 20 miles or more per week. Adventures average 200 to 400 miles in length, taking 2-4 months to complete. The distance between mile posts is about 20-30 miles.
Logging Your Activity
You can enter your weekly activity as steps per day, miles per day, or minutes per day from a large variety of aerobic activities. The web site will automatically convert your daily activity into aerobic miles that accumulate toward your fitness adventure.

Mile Posts
When you reach each mile post you can click on an active link to view pictures of your destination and read descriptions of the point of interest you've reached. You can click on additional links to explore other points of interest in the vicinity such as a historical site, a state or national park, etc. and learn more about your adventure.
Progress Reports
You can check on your progress weekly to see how many miles you've accumulated, how you are progressing on your adventure, and even how many exercise calories you've expended on your journey so far. You can compare your progress with your goals to see how you are doing.
