Membership

Members and friends of the Adventist church who are interested in improving their fitness and health are invited to join. Each member receives an InStep for Life Starter Kit and the following member benefits when they join:

 

Regular Membership

  • Welcome kit with letter and instructions for participating, an exercise log, and fitness tips.
  • Access to the GetFit Adventures web site to log your weekly activity and participate in virtual fitness adventures around the world.
  • Awards for completing adventures and mileage benchmarks such as the "500 Mile Award" and the "Million Steps" award.
  • InStep for Life Newsletter to help develop your personal fitness program, keep you informed, and help motivate you to keep fit. Also included are handouts and health links to help you learn more about fitness and healthy living.
  • InStep for Life fitness challenge Participate in the  Adventist InStep for Life Fitness Challenge celebrated at the 2010 General Conference Session in Atlanta Georgia.

Pedometers and Fitness Guide (Optional)

  • Step into Fitness and Health a self-study guide to help you develop your personal fitness and health program (available September 2008).
  • A pedometer to help you monitor daily steps and activity level (order now, download order form).

How much does it cost?

Regular membership is just $10 per person per year and includes all of the benefits listed on the left.

Introductory membership is available without charge for those interested in trying out the  program and includes access to the InStep for Life web site, the InStep Fitness Tips, and an introductory system to log your exercise miles using steps or other aerobic activities.

Pedometers, Step Into Fitness and Health book, and other fitness/health items are available to order as desired at a special reduced price for InStep for Life members.

How do I sign up?

pedometerSign up online or at your local church or Adventist organization with the InStep for Life fitness coordinator. As soon as you sign up for a regular membership the InStep for Life starter kit will be available to you along with a temporary ID and password to enroll in your first GetFit Adventure. As you enroll for your adventure you will be able to set your own confidential ID and password.
